February 2021 This video was produced by Washtenaw Solidarity for Farm Workers.(WSF) The project to “Connect the Workers” was started by the South East Michigan Migrant Resource Council of which our Macon UMC is a member. WSF did the fund raising and plans are that the Internet in form of Super Pods will be brought to five Migrant Farms in Lenawee County this year and service continued as long as funds hold out. This is one of the mission projects of Macon UMC.

Ministry Matters
November – 2020
From Sharon Scott
Ministry Matters, on a limited basis, will send an email on behalf of appropriate organizations that may be of interest to our readers. These paid newsletters help fund the mission of Ministry Matters. Advent this year will be unlike any we’ve ever experienced. Before we can put 2020 behind us, we have to get through Advent and the celebration of Christ’s birth all while living in this socially-distanced world. Many people will be blue this Christmas because they are far from — or grieving the loss of — loved ones. As we face the stressors of the pandemic, a contentious presidential election, and the hard truths of systemic racism, we long for the Holy One. How can we find light and hope in this unprecedented year?
Join author Todd Outcalt and The Upper Room as we seek to find the light in a season of darkness. Each day, participants will reflect on the hope of the season, and each week, there will be live online worship experiences and sessions with Outcalt.
